Is it possible to keep a tree alive forever?
July 27 (UPI) — New research suggests trees aren’t immortal. Even the world’s most ancient trees will eventually die, according to a new study published Monday in the journal Trends in Plant Science.
What type of tree lives the longest?
Bristlecone Pines
Bristlecone Pines (Pinus Longaeva), Yew trees, and Ginkgo Biloba trees appear to be the longest lived on record. They are commonly found in climates that are subject to change drastically. Bristlecones are resilient in bad weather and bad soil.
Which tree has highest life span?
Bristlecone pines
The Great Basin Bristlecone Pine (Pinus Longaeva) has been deemed the oldest tree in existence, reaching an age of over 5,000 years old. The Bristlecone pines’ success in living a long life can be attributed to the harsh conditions it lives in.
Can you grow a tree in your stomach?
The possibility of seeds germinating and growing in the stomach is zero. While there have been rare cases of plants growing in the lungs, the stomach is much too harsh an environment for any seed to survive there.
Is it possible for a tree to grow inside you?
Yes, plants can grow inside human bodies. Here’s what happened about 4 years back. And it’s just one of such many instances where plants have been found growing in human bodies. A 75-year-old man from Massachusetts, Ron Sveden had been experiencing short breath for a couple of months.
Is there a tree that lives forever?
Yes, its called the tree of life. Trees do not live forever. They do age and eventually die. Some live much longer than others though, and it turns out that some of the longest living trees survive best in the more extreme climates and situations.
Can a tree die of old age?

Why is it so hard to study the lifespan of trees?
Very old trees are rare, and the same tricks that allow for their long-term survival make them hard to find. (The oldest age group in the ginkgo study contained just three trees, all younger than 700.) So it’s difficult to design a comprehensive study on them. Plus, our own life spans are simply too short.
How long do ginkgo trees live?
Sergi Munné-Bosch, a plant biologist at the University of Barcelona, wrote the article in response to a January study on ginkgo trees, which can live for over a thousand years. The study found that 600-year-old ginkgos are as reproductively and photosynthetically vigorous as their 20-year-old peers.
