The Dragon Ball Super dubbed episodes ended in October- November 2019. Therefore, we assumed the next season was going to air in early 2020. However, this didn’t happen. As of December 2021, we continue to wait for Toei Animation to renew Dragon Ball Super for Season 2.

Can I skip Dragon Ball Super?

You could skip DBZ entirely and jump to Super or GT. But I certainly wouldn’t recommend it. Generally speaking, stories are best experienced from start to finish.

Will Dragon Ball Super Anime continue?

So far, Toei hasn’t announced the return of Dragon Ball Super anime, but many have speculated that it will return by 2022, three years after Dragon Ball Super: Broly premiered in Japan. Hopefully, the studio will make an official announcement by mid of 2021.

It could make for a worthwhile change of pace to craft an entirely original story and allow Super’s manga to continue without any interference from the anime, which at some point would be inevitable. It’d allow two new Dragon Ball narratives to co-exist.
