Why can you see the moon during the day and night?
We can see the moon during the day for the same reason we see the moon at night. The surface of the moon is reflecting the sun’s light into our eyes. “When we see the moon during the day it’s because the moon is in the right spot in the sky and it’s reflecting enough light to be as bright, or brighter, than the sky.”
Why we sometimes see a Full Moon and at other times we see no moon at all?
As the moon goes around the Earth, half of the moon is always illuminated by the Sun. Meanwhile, the other half of the moon is always in darkness. Sometimes we see the parts being illuminated, and sometimes we do not. Then, when the Earth is positioned between the Moon and the Sun, we see a Full Moon.
Can you see the moon at the same time each day?
The Moon can be seen at different times during the day and night – but when and where you see it depends on the phase of the Moon. The time it takes the Moon to rotate on its axis is the same time it takes to complete one trip (or “orbit”) around the Earth. This is why we always see the same side of the Moon.
Can you always see the Moon at night?
As the moon travels through its phases, it also moves across the sky. If the moon is not visible during the night, it may have been visible during the day. Therefore, it is not always visible at the same time each day or in the same location of the sky.
What happens when the moon and sun come together?

Full Moon Only Visible at Night During the moment of the Full Moon, the Sun and the Moon are on opposite sides of the Earth, and the Moon’s illuminated side faces the night side of Earth (see illustration). So, by definition, a Full Moon can usually only be seen during the night.
Why does the Moon Rise and set at full moon?
At full moon, the moon is exactly opposite the sun. This means that the moon rises just as the sun is setting, and sets just as the sun is rising. This is also the only night in the month when a lunar eclipse can happen.
