Who can give CSIR NET JRF exam?

Candidates should have obtained a degree in BTech/BE/BPharma/MBBS/BS (four years)/Integrated BS-MS/MSc with a minimum of 55 per cent marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC (50 per cent for SC/ST, Third gender and PwD). To apply for JRF, candidates should be maximum of 28 years of age.

Can I apply for both NET and JRF?

Answer. CSIR NET is a national eligibility test which is conducted for two positions i.e. The candidates can apply for only JRF, both JRF and Assistant Professor or only Assistant Professor.

What if I apply for both JRF and assistant professor?

Based on their performance, a candidate can be awarded JRF and the qualification to serve as an Assistant Professor, or just the latter. Simply put, anybody who exclusively qualify for the post of Assistant Professor, can not claim Junior Research Fellowship.

CSIR-UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility ‘ for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship/Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.

What is the difference between CSIR JRF and CSIR NET?

(a) The stipend of a JRF selected through CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) will be Rs 31,000/ p.m for the first two years. Can a first year MSc student apply for CSIR NET 2021?

Ans – Yes, aspirants who are in the first year of MSc can apply for the 2021 exam in the result awaited category. Ques 4 – What is the eligibility for the CSIR NET exam In terms of age? Ans – NTA has set the 28 years (For General Category) maximum age for JRF Exam. Aspirants who belong from other categories get the relaxation of 5 years.
