Which transistor can I use instead of BC547?

Which transistor can I use instead of BC547?

2N2222 is the most common and excellent substitute for BC547. The only minor changes are in the input and output capacitance, which are slightly higher in case of 2N2222 and will only affect circuits during high frequency operation and not otherwise. Other substitutes include 2N3904, PN100, 2N4401, BC337, etc.

Is BC547 and BC548 same?

In most cases you could. BC547 and BC548 are essentially the same but BC547 has a higher breakdown voltage whereas BC548 has low noise. These are the most general purpose NPN silicon transistors and changing one with the other does not noticably (or otherwise) affect the circuit.

Can I use 2N3904 instead of BC547?

Yes, you can use, for switching just look for Ic(collector current) and Vceo(collector-emitter voltage) in the datasheet.

Can we use 2n2222 instead of BC547?

So it really doesn’t matter whether you want to use 2n2222 or BC547 NPN transistor. You can update the circuit at anytime, you can replace the 2n2222 NPN transistors with the BC547 and it will have no negative effect on the project.

Can I use BC547 instead of BC557?

In most of the cases, YES. You can use BC548 INSTEAD OF BC547 AND SIMILARLY BC558 INSTEAD OF BC557.

What is BC547?

BC547 is a Bipolar Junction Transistor, abbreviated as BJT. It is an NPN transistor. It has three terminals named as: Emitter. Collector.

Is BC547 same as 2N3904?

Their difference is manufacturer and hFE and datasheet parameters, seriously. BC547 is European transistor while 2N3904 is American transistor. Both are common NPN bipolar junction transistors used for general-purpose low-power amplifying or switching applications.

Can I use BC547 instead of 2N2222?

You can update the circuit at anytime, you can replace the 2n2222 NPN transistors with the BC547 and it will have no negative effect on the project.

What is the difference between BC107 and BC547 transistors?

A BC107 was an old ordinary little transistor in a metal case. Its max Vceo is 45V, its max current is only 100mA and its hFE is from 125 to 500 at 2mA. A BC547 has the same chip but in a modern epoxy case and its allowed thermal power is double the BC107.

What is the difference between BC547 and BC548 and BC549?

The BC547, BC548, and BC549 are a group of general-purpose transistors with similar electrical characteristics. For basic and simple low voltage audio applications, they are almost equivalents. The BC548 and BC549 are very similar to the BC547 in every respect apart from a difference in operating breakdown voltages.

What is the gain value of BC107?

BC107 has a gain value h fe of 50; this value determines the amplification capacity of the transistor. The maximum amount of current that could flow through the Collector pin is 100mA, hence we cannot connect loads that consume more than 100mA using this transistor.

What is the function of The BC107 control button?

Controls the biasing of transistor, Used to turn ON or OFF the transistor Note: Complete Technical Details can be found at the BC107 datasheet given at the end of this page. The BC107 is a low signal NPN which is known for its low noise operations making it famously used in signal processing circuits and television receivers.
