What is data matter?
Data Matters™ is a week-long series of virtual one and two-day courses aimed at students and professionals in business, research, and government. Is matter made of information?
Indeed, according to information realists, matter arises from information processing, not the other way around. Even mind—psyche, soul—is supposedly a derivative phenomenon of purely abstract information manipulation.

“Landauer’s principle demonstrated that information is physical. The mass- energy-information equivalence principle extrapolated this and demonstrated that information has in fact mass.
Why do data matter?
At its very core, data tells us what we need to do next. Data exposes inefficiencies and disadvantages. It reveals truths about our habits and what we might do next. It opens windows into opportunity, while offering a glimpse into the future.
Are cells matter?

Outcomes are purely data-driven when data is the only signal required to make a decision. In contrast, in data-informed decisions, data is a strong input but not the only input. Generally speaking, Product Analysts are data-informed and algorithm developers are data-driven.
