Is original documents required for domestic flights?
As per the guidelines, it is mandatory to carry a Government issued photo identification (ID) proof along with the E-Ticket for domestic flights in India. The same is verified by the airport security as well as the airline at the check in counter.

Barring few exceptions, such as Srinagar and Imphal, hard copy of ticket is not mandatory to be carried to the airport. You can show your e- ticket on your mobile. Please note, airlines have their ticket counters on airports. You can get the print out of your ticket from there as well.

They have announced that passengers will be allowed a soft copy or image of e-tickets as valid way to make entry at the Airports. However, passengers have to make sure that the image produced on mobile, tablet or laptops should be exact copy of the e-ticket that has been issued by the Aircraft Operators.

Yes, you can travel with the soft copies as ids. According to a circular issued by aviation security agency BCAS. Mobile Aadhaar, or Aadhaar card in digital form using mobile app mAadhaar, can now be used as an identity proof to enter airports.
