Is it worth it to play Oblivion?

When it comes to quests and stories, Oblivion is a far better game than Morrowind or Skyrim. I’ve talked about this more extensively in my look at the best Elder Scrolls quests ever, but I remain truly amazed at how much thought and creativity went into even the most “average” quest in Oblivion.

Does Fallout 3 use the same engine as Oblivion?

Thing is though, for all of said engine’s new name back in 2011, Creation itself was actually an upgraded and modified version of Gamebryo, the same engine Bethesda used for Fallout 3, and Oblivion before it. Nowhere is that more obvious that in Fallout 4’s character editor.

Is it worth playing Morrowind after Skyrim?

Morrowind is definitely a different The Elder Scrolls experience than Oblivion or Skyrim. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, far from it. If you’re looking for amazing lore, unique world setting, and a more challenging The Elder Scrolls experience, then by all means go for it. You will love it.

Is Morrowind still good today?

Ultimately, Morrowind is still a fantastic game in 2021 as long as players understand that it’s a completely different experience from other Elder Scrolls games, and are willing to be patient with its retrospective faults.

Is Oblivion like Skyrim?

Oblivion is much more similar to traditional Elder Scrolls games rather than the newer modern RPG style that Skyrim adopted. The combat is much more difficult and the quests don’t hold the player’s hand as much as Skyrim does. Some of the quests really require the player to engage in the lore of the game.
