Will Csab 2020 happen?

In the year 2019, CSAB for SFTI was not conducted due to less participating colleges/universities. The registration process for the different stations of CSAB 2020 will open separately in the online process. The allocation process of CSAB 2020 will be conducted separately for the three admission stations.

What is CSAB special round?

•The CSAB special rounds are conducted to fill the vacant seats of NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs (Except IITs) after completion of all the JoSAA Rounds. •Seat allotment is carried out according to JEE (Main) CRL ranks for the vacant seats in Special Rounds.

How many counselling rounds are there in NIT+ system?

In 2015, the counselling for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs (NIT+ system) were done by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority), along with IITs and ISM (IIT+ system). There were 3 and 4 rounds of counselling for the IIT+ and the NIT+system respectively.

What happens after the 4th round in the NIT+ system?

After the four rounds, there were still many seats left vacant in the NIT+ system as there was no withdrawal system of admission in between the rounds. Hence, CSAB organized a special round to fill up these vacant seats around one month after the fourth round seat acceptance date.

What is CCB and CSAB?

A Central Counselling Board (CCB) constituted by the Govt. of India coordinated admissions to UG degree programmes in engineering, technology and architecture in respect of selected institutes till 2012. From 2013 onwards, CCB and AIEEE have been renamed as Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and JEE (Main) respectively.
