  1. You first need to join SF. If you’re already in the Army, apply for SFAS.
  2. The you need to get selected in SFAS and pass the Q Course. In the Q Course, you’ll be given an MOS.
  3. If you get in, you’ll have to do the 18F school.
  4. Once you pass the school, you’ll be an 18F and assigned to a detachment.

How long is the 18F course?

If you were chosen as an Army 18F, you will now attend the 14 week Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant’s Course. This course can be attended by personnel before Special Forces training, so if you have it already, you have a “one-up” on the SFQC.

  2. In order to serve as a Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant, you must be currently serving as any of the four Special Forces Enlisted Military Occupational Specialties.

  4. 105 ASVAB Score: Combat (CO)
