You can learn new lessons from old moments. As Patrick O’Shaughnessy says, “Reading changes the past.” Of course, this is only true if you internalize and remember insights from the books you read. Reading for pleasure or entertainment can be a wonderful use of time, but this article is about reading to learn.
Why is it better to learn from home?
Giving students some choice over their learning builds intrinsic motivation, independence, and creativity. While it can be difficult in a traditional classroom of 20–30 students, at home parents can allow their children much more flexibility to choose topics to study, books to read, and ways to use their time.

By definition, knowledge is information and skills acquired through experience or education. While further knowledge on a subject or task can be gained through experience, experience cannot be obtained through instruction. Experience comes with time, exposure, and practice.

Highlight the important lessons, make notes and re-write them in your own words, summarize the book, mentally recap each chapter and (last but not least) take massive action upon the lessons you’ve learned.
