Can Geralt fight the Crones?

With Fugas down, Ciri and Geralt decide to split up to defeat the Crones and Imlerith. Who gets to fight who? All decided with a serious, life-or-death game of rock, paper, scissors. Geralt wins a duel with Imlerith, while Ciri gets to fight the Crones.

Is there a way to kill the Crones?

Can I go back and loot the crones?

Payback. Note: You can head back to loot the body of Fugas and the Crones at this point. You may need to jump off the right hand side wall to clear the wooden barricade blocking the path. Take the Bald Mountain key from Fugas before going to the Crones or you cannot go though the gate and fight Imlerith.

How do I get the key to Bald Mountain?

The key is dropped by Fugas upon his death in the caves below Bald Mountain during the Bald Mountain quest. The key is only supposed to be lootable after completing the quest as Fugas’s death immediately triggers a cutscene, followed by a sequence of playing as Ciri.

Should I give up the magic acorn?

You can choose to not eat it, and to instead give the Magic Acorn to the villagers living below the peak of the mountain, but it will not have any impact on the story. As such, you can feel free to use it for its effects without any fear of affecting the story.
