Are there any Vocaloid anime?

One of the better known vocaloids is Hatsune Miku. At the moment there is no anime with vocaloids. There is only a manga called: Hatsune Mix.

Vocaloid Hatsune Miku is getting an original animated series. “Miku’s fans will be able to experience a new original series and enter the story of the “Mikuverse” that will combine live action, animation and music,” says the press release. In addition to the animated series, there will be webtoons and comics as well.

While there have been a lot of anime series based on Vocaloid characters there haven’t been any full blown Vocaloid anime released where the central characters and plot revolve around them being Vocaloids. There does not appear to be any movement from fans, either.

Why do anime PVs have so many songs?

Most VOCALOID songs stem from Japan so you’re going to get animated PVs with the anime style. Oftentimes, these PVs are incredibly convincing. They’re beautifully animated and convey the story being told by the song. Many shows have used music without voice acting during highly emotional scenes and AMVs do this as well.
