Is Tatkal booking available in 2021?

As announced by Indian Railway recently the new Tatkal Ticket Booking Time is 10 am for AC Classes and 11 am for Sleeper classes….Tatkal Ticket Booking Time – As announced by Indian Railway The New Time from Feb 2021.

Is Tatkal available in First AC?

Tatkal ticket bookings are allowed in all classes except First AC. Tatkal booking window opens at 10 am for AC classes and 11 am for non-AC classes, one before the actual date of journey.

Login to your IRCTC account at ixigo.com

Select your travel source station and destination

Choose your date of journey

Now select quota as ‘TATKAL’ and search for trains

Click on ‘BOOK NOW’ for the preferred train from the list

Fill in the passengers detail carefully like Name,Age,Gender,Seat Preference,etc.

When can we book A Tatkal ticket?

Remember that tatkal ticket booking timings open only for one day so you need to be sure which day you need to book your tatkal tickets. For example: If your journey date is 28th then your tatkal booking date would be 27th. If train travel time is 28th and 29th you can book tatkal tickets on 27th only.

How can I book Premium Tatkal ticket?

Log on to the IRCTC website using your username and password.

Go to “Plan my travel” section and enter the from and to station details.

Select the date of the journey and submit.

Click on the Premium Tatkal button next to the Select Quota section that displays the train with PT ticket.

What is the timing for Tatkal booking at station?

Tatkal tickets can be booked over the counter in a railway station and on the internet at IRCTC. Ticket booking opens at 10:00 AM on the day before the day of the train at origin station. The day of the journey is defined as the day of chart preparation. For APP based booking TATKAL window opens 1 day in advance excluding the day of journey.
