All NROTC midshipmen (Navy and Marine Option) are given a mandatory three-week New Student Indoctrination (NSI) at Naval Station Great Lakes during the summer prior to their freshman year. Navy Option midshipmen do not go to Officer’s Candidate School (OCS).
