The Constitution of Nepal has empowered CIAA to investigate and probe cases against the persons holding any public office and their associates who are indulged in the abuse of authority by way of corruption.

What should be done for the effectiveness of CIAA for eradicating corruption in Nepal?

Instead of being process-oriented, the CIAA should be result-oriented. It should focus on the offices such as land revenue, customs and transportation management. Its campaign against corruption will be successful only when it has well-trained, honest and dedicated teams.
