Does Lumion need more cores?
CPU with more than 4.0 GHz and 8 cores. You can run Lumion with a CPU that clocks at 3.0 GHz or higher, but if you have a fast graphics card, a low CPU will essentially block those extra benefits you would have received.
Is Lumion GPU or CPU intensive?
Lumion does about 90\% of it’s work on the graphics card, so that is the most important component. The CPU needs to have a good clock speed to support the graphics card, so numbers of cores and multi-threading and performance are not that important.
How do I know if I need more cores?
If you routinely load lots of software and run multiple programs at once, then you’ll want to have more cores and a lower CPU speed. If you want to play processor intense video games or run programs that render large amounts of information at a fast pace, then opt for a high CPU speed and fewer cores.

Is RTX 2060 good for Lumion?
Lumion will use as much graphics power as you can afford in a single card. The Quadro cards are very underwhelming, avoid them if possible and stick to the GeForce cards. Go with something at least as powerful as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER if possible. The RTX 2060 SUPER can be made to work but it’s not ideal.
Does loadlumion use CUDA or GPU?
Lumion uses HLSL, not CUDA. Nevertheless we generally recommend NVidia cards. See also FAQ q/a no 4. the problem i have now is i can’t decide whether to go for the gtx560 ti top or the hd 7850/7870. would like to know how far will the vram of 1gb or 2gb affect rendering time…
