Why is my canon Pixma Pro 10 printing with bands missing?

My Canon Pixma Pro 10s has started to print with bands of ink missing and also smudging / spattering the ink around the edges of whatever image / fonts it is printing. I have taken it to a printer repair shop and they informed me it is most likely a clogged / partially clogged nozzle (only does it on the Magenta colour though).

P.S. Nozzle prints are the only thing safe to print… Thanks for the quick reply. I actually ran the cleaning cycle a few more times, waited a day or two, printed, cleaned, printed again (and again). This was the advice of the shop, to just keep printing and cleaning. It seems to have actually worked and the print looks normal now!
