That’s a good trade-off if you like to take your time reading long articles, or if you just want to keep watching that hilarious animated gif over and over and over again without having to tap your screen to keep the display on. Overall, Smart Stay is a feature worth checking out, but it’s not going to be for everyone.
Does Smart Stay save battery?
It’s not perfect – far from it – but it does work well and keep the screen on if you are looking at it. I doubt it makes a big difference in battery life but it definitely doesn’t help battery life… I’ve turned off many of the gimmicky features, motions, etc. but Smart Stay is worth it to me.
