What is special about Blackwing pencils?

The Blackwing is ideal for illustrators and musicians who prefer a soft, dark line. It boasts a sophisticated matte black finish with pearl white erasers. If you love to draw and sketch this is your go-to due to the range you get from light to hard strokes. You also get a similar ‘charcoal’ effect from the pencil.

Is Faber Castell mechanical pencil good?

Faber-Castell make a similar pencil without this setting for less than half the cost but you don’t get the metal grip, which I feel puts the pencil into a slightly more luxurious category. Compared to other pencils, this is good quality and reasonable value even if you don’t find the hard/soft setting useful.

What is the most comfortable mechanical pencil?

The Kuru Toga Pipe Slide is comfortable to hold but not notably more so than other good mechanical pencils. It edged out the metal GraphGear 1000 by only one vote for feeling the most comfortable in the hand.

Which Blackwing pencil is best for sketching?

For drawing purposes, the regular and Pearl are more suitable for shading. For line art, the harder Blackwing 602 is more suitable. And on the back of Blackwing 602, it says ““Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed”. If I can only choose one Blackwing to buy, I would get the one in the middle, Blackwing Pearl.
