What is the Jammu & Kashmir NCC National Integration day camp?

The camp, being organized under the aegis of NCC Directorate, Jammu & Kashmir with an aim to promote national integration, solidarity and develop camaraderie among the youth, would conclude on November 16. Nearly, 550 NCC cadets and Associate NCC Officers (ANO’s) representing 17 NCC Directorates from all over India are taking part in the camp.

How many cadets are there in an NCC Camp?

Each NCC Camp is structured for approximately 400 – 600 cadets with Instructional staff comprising three to four officers and 15-20 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs)/ Permanent Instructors (PI) Staff/ Whole Time Lady Officers (WTLOs)/ Girl Cadet Instructors (GCIs). More than 8 lakh cadets attend these camps each year.

Who is in charge of the Karnataka NCC Girls Wing?

The camp, organised by Karnataka NCC Girls Wing, is being attended by about 640 cadets including 280 girls studying in PUC and Degree courses. Col. S.K. Pant, Group Commandant, Bangalore and Col. Sanjay Sharma, Assistant Group Commandant, are incharge of the camp assisted by about 20 NCC officers.
