Flexibility is key at the FBI. Upon graduation from the FBI Academy, you will be assigned to one of the FBI’s 56 Field Offices or satellite offices. Roughly one-third of new Agents get their first choice.

Where do you live during FBI training?

All special agents begin their career at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, for 20 weeks of intensive training at one of the world’s finest law enforcement training facilities. During their time there, trainees live on campus and participate in a variety of training activities.

Can I work for the FBI if I wear glasses?

The federal government’s law enforcement agency has strict requirements for agents, including everything from physical agility to hearing. One of the qualifications FBI agents must have is good vision, although it accepts those who correct poor eyesight with glasses, contact lenses or laser surgery.
