Can I use my own domain name with no IP?

What is my domain no IP?

In www.noip.com, www is the hostname. In that same example, noip.com is the domain name. The host portion prepended to the domain name is often referred to as the hostname and that is how we use the term here. Our free dynamic DNS service offers free hostnames on our domains i.e. yourname.no-ip.org.

Does every domain have an IP address?

What happened to No-IP?

Effective Oct 31, 2016, domain names that include the No-IP brand name are no longer available for hostname creation. Once the hostname has been deleted it cannot be re-created and you will need to choose another domain name.

What can I do with No-IP?

The No-IP Free Dynamic DNS service takes your dynamic IP address and makes it act as though it is static by pointing a static hostname to it and checking every 5 minutes for changes to your IP address. If your IP address changes, our Dynamic Update Client updates your hostname with the current IP address.

How do I associate my hardware device to a No-IP hostname?

If you own one of the supported devices you may associate your hardware device to a single No-IP hostname in your account. Enter the domain name to be registered. Exclude www before the domain. ie yourdomain.com. The number of different IP addresses that will be associated with a round robin hostname. This can be changed later.

How do I find the IP address of my No-IP account?

Login to your No-IP account and click Hosts/Redirects at the top left of the page. You will see a list of domains/hostnames that are associated with your account. Next, to the hostname, you will see the IP address that we are currently resolving to. You can verify that this is the correct IP address by visiting Port Check Tool.

How do I change the hostname on my No-IP account?

To manually update the hostname, login to your No-IP account and click Hosts/Redirects at the top left of the page. Next to the hostname that you need to update click “Modify”. On the next page, under the Hostname Information window, you will see a location to change the IP address.
